Chess piece: fallen king
Lately I have been losing practically every single chess game I have played. Ironically it started after winning a blitz chess game at the Internet Chess Club (ICC) against a much higher rated player - I managed to win against a 2200+ player. From the way he played I guess he was simultaneously having dinner and talking on the phone while playing against me. But since then, I seem to be cursed and managed to set only negative records. What do you do to end a streak of losses? Train harder? Play more or stop playing at all? Any recommendations?

A negative streak reliefs you from the pressure of your rating. So finally you can enjoy the game!
Break it up

When I go on a losing streak, I stop playing and get away for a while. I'll go work on tactics and get my chess vision back. Then when I go back to play (blitz) I just play one or two games. And I usually make sure I'm fresh (don't play late at night). Then I usually win a game or two and my confidence is back.
Thanks!

Thanks for the comments. I just won a game in the December STtourney at ICC with a smooth king-side attack smilies/grin.gif

May be blogging has the power to reverse the curse?
