a few points;

10. Ne5? --- fight fire with fire, play c4.

15. Qxg4 --- taking this pawn is risky; firstly, it costs white tempo, secoundly, it opens a file against the king, all in all, if I were white, i would leave the pawn well alone.

"Crafty strongly recommends ... Rxg3 . Keeping white in check prevents capture of the black Q with Rxf6, but I don't understand it fully. "

that is because black wins material and/or mates.

for example, Rxg3 hxg3 Rxg3 Kh1 [Kh2? Qh4#] Qh4 Qh2 (only move) Rh3 -- which will win the Queen.

Hi, thanks for the insightful comments!

Concerning White's 15th move - I see what you mean. For quite a while I simply overlooked possible pawn captures in my games. Lately, I started to recognize them more often and simply capture when in doubt. I hope some day I will be experienced enough to decide when it is prudent to capture a pawn...

Hey, just came back to look at this game after quite a while. We have had some
interesting games, including the ones we have going on right now. I like
the annotation.

Hey Trooper,
yes, it is always fun playing against you!

Some day I hope to come back to the annotations and say to myself "why the heck did I play this or write that, when it is so obvious that..." to hopefully see that I actually learnt something over the years smilies/grin.gif
